Set between the Purcell Mountains and the Rockies, the town of Kimberley boasts stunning views and attracts tourists from around the world. Visit the golfing capital of Canada and you might find not just eighteen holes, but even to a real estate agent. If not, just be happy with improving your game.

Golf courses here include Bootleg Gap. This twenty-seven hole course hires out pull carts and clubs if you travelled light. Look for junior rates and play a round with your teenager, or just use the driving range for some practice. Kimberley Golf Club dates back to the early twentieth century and continues to thrive among the competition. Find yourself some gear in the pro shop then stop for a meal after your game.

Shadow Mountain is the newest golf course in Kimberley. Enjoy eighteen holes or nine, with short breaks in between each hole to simply admire snow-capped mountains and lush green mountain forests. The gift shop sells clothing for men and women plus accessories and souvenirs. Arrange for group or private lessons with a certified instructor. Golfing classes have been broken down according to age, with some also set aside for ladies only. Even send the kids to golf camp so they can develop a passion for this popular activity.

With a visit to St. Eugene Mission comes the opportunity to play golf by day and hit the casino at night. Instead of worrying about how to get back to your hotel room after a few drinks and some slots, stay right at St. Eugene. Arrive with a group and split up, some heading for tee time, others to a local spa. Eat out in style or opt for a casual barbecued steak at the on-site restaurant.

Golfing packages make it easy to spend the weekend golfing and hanging out. Stay in a chalet, condo or guest house. Bring a big group of eight to twelve people and split the cost, saving money to enjoy what you came for: eighteen holes. Some rentals include barbecues, hot tubs or even a fireplace.

Trickle Creek Golf Resort offers stay and play packages including a round on their green plus a room a the Lodge. Eat at the lodge restaurant then walk to golfing just minutes away. Come back to soak in a hot tub, swim a few lengths in their heated outdoor pool or burn calories in the fitness room.

Trickle Creek also sets families down right by ski hills, which could get them thinking. What about moving here? Perhaps compromise, laying down just holiday roots. Purchase property in the area for those gaps in a busy calendar that let you get away to golf or ski, alone, with friends or with family.

Should such a plan become viable, remember this is a high end location. <noindex>BC Real estate</noindex> can be scarce and expensive in Kimberley, but conveniently close to a local airport for commuting to and from Calgary and other cities. Purchase yourself a fabulous view and plant yourself close to places like Wasa Lake, Radium Hot Springs, and the Canadian Rockies.

It’s not surprising that BC is considered Canada’s golf capital. <noindex>BC golf vacations</noindex> are attracting golfers from all over the world, With the beautiful mountains and picturesque natural scenery, take time to enjoy the magnificent BC real estate.

For the active holiday-maker, choose western Canada as a place to settle yourself for a summer of fun. BC summer activities take you on the water or out onto rock bluffs. Take a golf club or a wine glass in your hand. You are sure to find something to enjoy about this beautiful province.

Not only do people love BC, returning again and again, but whales love the province too. Take a guided tour or just hop on a ferry heading for Vancouver Island and keep looking. You have a good chance of spotting a pod of Orcas, especially from locations like Tofino, Victoria or Telegraph Cove on Vancouver Island, or Prince Rupert in Northern Canada. Bear watching makes for a popular pastime too, just be sure to know your bear safety rules. Most of the time bears take no interest in humans. Watch out your window while driving east along the Trans Canada Highway. Prime spotting points include the area from Golden to the Alberta border.

For those who want to get closer to the water, the lakes and coastal waters of the province are ideal for kayakers. Tour the many islands between the mainland and Vancouver Island, putting in at inlets and little bays rarely reached by other tourists. Paddle the lakes inland at Wells Grey Provincial Park, Clearwater, or Shuswap Lake at Salmon Arm.

Festivals draw visitors from all over the world to this vast province, including wine festivals. During the month of August head to Silver Star Mountain Resort near Vernon for the Okanagan Summer Wine Festival to learn about and taste numerous wines. Combine wine with <noindex>golf vacation packages</noindex>, perhaps trying The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna for eighteen holes on a championship course. Various communities host a festival for children to celebrate Canada Day on July first. These festivals often include music and draw well-known performers, feature information and safety booths. Buy a hot dog and get your face painted red and white.

Canadian history may not seem to go a long way back, but places such as RJ Haney House in Salmon Arm and Three Valley Gap near Revelstoke make the most of the early days. View restored buildings set-up to recreate nineteenth-century towns. These might have housed railway labourers, gold-panners, or immigrants looking for a new way of life through farming.

BC history goes much farther back than a couple of hundred years when viewed through the eyes of its indigenous people. Explore their early lives and the impact of European settlement at Royal BC Museum in Victoria. Fort Langley, about an hour from Vancouver, takes you back in to a time when people traded animal hides for iron pots or blankets.

Thrill seekers might want to make a few exciting memories for themselves with water sports. River Rafting gives them the perfect opportunity, especially in early summer when the spring run-off has not yet run out of steam. Get very wet, even flipped over, or take a break for a short interpretation of the flora and fauna you ride between at Adams River or inside the desert canyon of the Thompson River.

Follow a day of rock climbing on the Skaha bluffs near Penticton with a more relaxing escape. All skill levels can take part at the bluffs by climbing the up to 250 foot cliffs or merely hiking for a good view. Relax at a Penticton restaurant over some beautifully prepared local food. All in all combining <noindex>BC golf vacations</noindex> with exploring the beauty of British Columbia makes for an ideal adventure or family holiday.

It’s not surprising that BC is considered Canada’s golf capital. <noindex>BC golf condos</noindex> are attracting golfers from all over the world, With the beautiful mountains and picturesque natural scenery, take time to enjoy the magnificent <noindex>BC real estate</noindex>.

One thing you hear people from BC saying is that they have no need to leave their province for a holiday. There is plenty to do without boarding a plane or renewing their passports. Whether you like rock climbing, rafting or a glass of wine, come for some BC Summer Activities.

Mention the west coast of Canada and many minds instantly turn to wildlife sightings. Though the best times to see bears is spring and autumn, you can still find great look-out spots during your summer holidays in places like Kicking Horse near the BC/Alberta border. Any time you drive past Kamloops towards the next province you have a chance of spotting bears close to or even on the Trans Canada Highway. Whale watching from Victoria or Telegraph Cove on Vancouver Island is another popular pastime. Boarding a zodiac, cruise ship, or even just taking the ferry between island and mainland will offer the opportunity to spot a pod of Orcas making their majestic way.

Try ocean kayaking to get even closer to whales, or choose kayaking on one of many clear, freshwater lakes. Bowron Lakes in the Cariboo Chilcotin Region makes a popular destination. Get down low in the water and really see the loons, grebes and numerous other native and migratory aquatic birds which frequent these waters.

Annual festivals across the province include Roots and Blues in Salmon Arm, featuring acts from around the world performing everything from rock and roll to African drumming. Drive a little way south east and explore the Okanagan wine region. Here you can taste an number of reds, whites, or fortified fruit wines from wineries that make this glorious region their home on a self-guided tour or enjoy the annual Okanagan Summer Wine Festival at Silver Star Mountain near Vernon in August. While you are in the area, try golfing at one of the numerous Okanagan Golf Clubs. These include Championship courses such as Black Mountain, a public course with a par of 71. <noindex>BC real estate</noindex> is thriving, so make sure to check out some of the fabulous investment opportunities.

History comes alive in places like Three Valley Gap near Revelstoke or Barkerville in the Cariboo. Look for restored buildings taking you back to cowboy days and the gold rush. At Barkerville, costumed interpreters re-enact scenes from daily life such as a realistic criminal trial.

Stop in at a BC museum to see collections from the natural and cultural world around us. Aboriginal artifacts include masks and totem poles, some of which can be seen at Royal Museum in Victoria. Revelstoke Railway Museum houses many train engines and carriages showing what train travel was like during different eras throughout the past century.

Thrill seekers may want to try rafting on one of many rivers suitable for the sport. Guides will take you safely over everything from a class one to class four. Your summer rafting trip will likely reach highs of class three since most of the spring run off will have passed through, but anything can happen in the wilds of BC so come prepared.

Mountaineering and rock-climbing provide popular challenges for the fit and prepared visitor. A visit to the north offers locations such as Cassiar, Omineca and Terrace for those looking to get off of the well-worn path and see natural wonders up close, including glaciers. Alternatively, tavel east to enjoy some of the wonderful <noindex>Kimberly real estate</noindex>. Follow an arduous day with a trip to Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park along the Alaska Highway. You do not have to climb there, only walk the boardwalks to one of two pools boasting tropical temperatures.

It’s not surprising that BC is considered Canada’s golf capital. <noindex>BC golf vacations</noindex> are attracting golfers from all over the world, With the beautiful mountains and picturesque natural scenery in British Columbia. Plan your next <noindex>golf vactaion package</noindex>, and be the next to tee off in beautiful BC.

My friend who lives in Denver, Colorado owns a Vail ski condo(s). I visited him during the ski off season. He was renting out his one of his condos and needed to go up and have the lease signed. We left on a Friday evening and spent the night in the condo. The next morning as he was waiting to meet with the tenants he loaned me his car and invited me to drive around the area.

I had a great time pulling off on the side of the road and taking hikes up into the hills. As I was driving I saw what appeared to be a large monument and what looked like an old time ski lift. I pulled off the road and walked to the monument. It was dedicated to the U. S. Army division tenth mountain division which was formed in’40.

The reason it was formed was because the infantry was not ready for winter warfare if they had to fight in Finland or Norway or if they had to fight in the Alps they would have to know something about how to fight in the mountains. At the time of formation they were called simply the ski troops. Some of the men who joined did so because it sounded like a glamorous idea.

Camp vale is in the Pando valley just on the Westside of the continental divide. The troops got to vale and were amazed. They did not know that type of mountain existed. The ones that had skied before were impressed with the finest skis and bindings they had ever seen.

It was a more hazardous than recreational skiing because they each carried a fifty pound pack. And the fine bindings were bear trap bindings that did not come off. If you did not know how to fall you could break a leg. It was very rugged training.

The men learned mountain survival the hard way. They endured weeks of living in the mountains where the temperature fell to below twenty degrees below zero. The older taught the younger inexperienced troops how to survive like rubbing bacon grease all over their bodies to prevent frostbite.

In Germany the tenth division finally saw combat. It fought in the mountains of Italy the German army in’45. This was a key battle for the U. S. Because the German army had a high strategic position that was preventing the infantry from moving forward. The Germans were surprised by the mountain division because they believed their position was so high and unattainable that they were beyond attack. But the mountain division surprised them and was able to remove them from their strategic foothold.

The tenth mountain division suffered one of the highest casualty rate of any U. S. Division. It was a sobering experience to stand in part of the area where brave soldiers learned to survive and fight in the snowy mountaintops of world war two. I returned to meet my friend at his ski condo a little more appreciative of those brave world war two snow troops.

<noindex>BC real estate</noindex> offers <noindex>ski condos</noindex> that are perfect for a little family time.

You will either have fun or want to scream while you are trying to plan the best skiing vacation you can. There are some simple things to consider in order to have a fun and affordable trip. Take the time to plan this trip right or you may not have as much fun as you thought you would. After you have taken the time to plan the greatest skiing trip your family has ever been on they will thank you for it.

First you should get to work creating a budget. If you do not have a budget you have no way of knowing how much money you can spend on each activity. You need to decide how much money you are willing to spend on activities and accommodations. Accommodations can be quite different and have very different prices. You can consider renting privately owned villas, condos, homes, apartments, and cabins. These accommodations are rents nightly, weekly, and monthly.

These properties can usually be rented at an affordable price. You do not have any middle men to go through and the owners are very fair about the prices. A private owner we be more likely to negotiate prices with you if you find one you like but can’t afford. You also have many resorts and hotels you can choose from no matter where you take your skiing trip.

Prices for resorts and hotels may vary drastically. The hotels prices will depend on the amenities and how nice the hotel is. When traveling to a ski resort you could end up paying more for a room than you would at any other resort or hotel. There are many things that are considered in the price.

The location of a ski resort is usually very convenient to the slopes. You can usually find a resort that you can walk straight out to the lifts and start skiing. The mountains height and amount of snow will depend on where you take your trip. Some places have small mountains that are easy for first time skiers while others are large and hard to ski on.

There are many types of runs and the ski resort or hotel you choose to stay at can tell you what type of run is nearest them. There are runs that make skiing fun and easy for children and first timers. Beware of the more advanced runs though. They are for the seasoned skier. Another thing to consider when choosing an accommodation is how many family members will be traveling with you. A good idea for a couple is to rent a room at a hotel or resort.

However if you have a large number of people taking this vacation you may want to consider renting a cabin on the mountain. Resorts may be expensive but they are very luxurious. This is great for a couple on vacation alone. Although a cabin will offer more privacy from the outside world.

Now you have to determine whether you want to rent or buy skis. If you are a first time skier it is probably best to rent. Be sure to buy the damage insurance plan. If you are an advanced skier and will be doing plenty of future skiing then you should probably invest in your own skis.

<noindex>BC real estate</noindex> offers <noindex>ski condos</noindex> that are perfect for a little family time. It includes everything such as kitchen appliances, and also offers great scenery as well. If you’re planning a vacation for this winter, remember to visit us.
